During the white light period the color appears to be a dark orange...almost like a burnt orange...eagle eyes? wamin watermelon? Thanks

Leroy

"Eagle Eyes" and "Whamin' Watermelon" are the same basic color morph. Typically "Eagle Eyes" are thought to have a more orange center and "Whamin' Watermelons" have a more red center. This slight difference in coloration can be caused by lighting, water parameters, or any number of other factors. If you don't like the burnt orange color move the zoas around your tank a bit. Their colors will change a bit given enough time. Just don't get too excited and give them a new name when you move them and they morph. Here in the zoa collecting hobby many hobbyists are so eager to name a "new morph" that they will often create a name, and start using/submitting it without looking to see if one already exists. This creates a BUNCH of confusion when collectors get together and try to discuss zoa color morphs. This is part of the reason I hate the name game sometimes. Enjoy them! They spread pretty fast and look really cool with actinics on them!

I'm goin for Eagle Eyes if they're orange with the whites on. I've got a frag of these in my tank as well, they're gorgeous and seem to grow fairly quicky!
