Like Angel*Fish said, it is Parapercis schauinslandi--indeed a Pinguipedid (or sandperch). This individual is a juvenile. What sandperch are you talking about that has a deeper body? The entire family is described as elongated, fusiform fishes, certainly not deep bodied ones.
