Don't think I am right, but it does not look like algae I would want in my reef tank. Looks like some kind of bubble that will spread when broken. Just a WAG.

id say bubble algae. i would manually remove.

I do have some bubble algae in the tank and I'm removing it as I can but this stuff looks nothing like it. It has fine, hair like leaves some of which are silver. I have 2 kinds of bubble algae both of which have bubbles eminating from the base.

i forgot what that was but i've got it spreading in my tank. i'm not worried though. if any get out of hand i'll just put them in my dad's tank. i had a branch covered in it and his emeralds tore it up. the branch is almost all white now. at least the algae's gone.
