Please ID!!

Found this while walking along the reef the other day. It was growing attached to a shard of a glass bottle and didn't seem to be a stony or reef building coral so I collected it it just out curiosity.

I really have no idea what it is, it has the consistency of a soft coral and shrinks at night and expands during the day... Kind of reminded me of a stump of a neon green kenya tree.... I live on the south shore of Oahu btw.

Any guesses would be appreciated!

Snake polyps possibly? not seen any that nice in colour and they should expand more during the night.
