Zoa/Paly Collector
My landlord's having an exterminator come to my place because........well it's a long story but, the short version is....... I live near Bob on 4th st overlooking the creek....hence the problem with wildlife. Some how a family of racoon's got under the deck that leads to the laundry room and those little buggers musta been crawling with fleas because everytime I walked over the deck I was immediately ambushed by fleas! I was always carefull in picking them off of me before entering my house, but apparently not good enough because now they're in my apartment! Anyway I'm worried about my open top tanks and the poisons they might use....what should I do?????

Jake,
just get some heavy sheets of plastic and cover everything real well. You might even tape or weight it down. They don't come in and fumigate. They actually use an arisol can and spray just the carpeted areas. I had it done last summer. Bye the way if the racoons are still there. Go out to Wild animal control and get some Cyote urine and Fesses and spread it around outside. They'll be gone and not return. I think my racoons may have moved upcreek to your place.

Bob

I think you need to take all your best peices and break them in half and give them to me, just in case:beer:

no really, that sucks. I think Bobs ideas are good........But how do they get those cyotes to pee in a bottle?

your Valida has grown a ton in my tank so you won't lose that. If you are worried about any pieces, we would be more than happy to babysit.

Speaking of racoons Nate had one attack his reef tank. Maybe next meeting he will tell the story it is really funny. Just remember to shut your windows.

Just get yourself one of these, wear it around the house and the coons will respect you

I agree with Bob about sealing off the tank. But I personally would find a way to move the tank. I know it's a pain but you can't be too careful.

Mike- right on, where's it located in your tank. Jeff said he was having luck with lower light. Got anymore of those aquamarine zoa's you traded me? I lost mine a while back.

I have it in the top of my tank. It loves the light. I might be able to bring some more zoas. I owe some to Jeff though.
