I just set up my 120 Gal. Man, the "Quiet 1" 4000H is not living up to the name "quiet". It is loud. The old Quiet 1 has long been discontinued. Now, can any one recommend a quieter pump than the "Quiet 1 4000H".
Please recommend a quiet external pump for 120 gal

Little-Giant's have always done me well. Compact and dummy proof if you ever have to work on it or replace parts.
I originally went with a GenX Mak4 for my 120. It was way too powerful and way too noisey. I just switched to a Blue Line Velocity T1. It is so quiet I can barely hear it running and now I have 4x running through the sump instead of 9x. It was supposed to raise the temp of the tank 4-6 degrees but I only saw a 1.5 degree increase. So far I'm very happy with it. My skimmer is louder.
