I am about to convert my reef tank into a FOWLR, I don't have any trouble with my corals but I am running out of money to maintain it.
So I would like to see some FOWLR pics for ideas on aqua scape.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Here's mine. I make alot of big and small caves. Alot of people make small caves and don't think about when a fish gets big and is trying to squeeze in small holes. I learned my lesson from my 50g when my sailfin kept tearing himself up trying to get into a little hole when he got bigger.

Bad pic of mine. Thinking about adding a 'flying shelf' from the right column to the front of the tank. Dunno, I do like the openness though, and the 2 island theme will be great for any territory conflicts.

Lighting is a 48" MH/VHO fixture I bolted to the canopy, 2 175watt 10k MHs, and 2 110watt URI Super Actnic R VHO's. As you can see, there's slight shadows at the ends of the tank, not as bad in person, but I'm not planning any corals on the ends.

Well I've always been an bit unsure if it was going to be a true FOWLR or not. The first go around it was a predator FO, but now I think I'm headed towards an aggressive reef setup. There's already an acan, open brain and bubble tip anemone in there, and luckily don't have to upgrade to good lighting. I love the way the MH's shimmers and makes the fish look and the VHO's on my tusk were ridiculous. It's not a huge of amount of light for 125 and don't have to run a chiller and the heater (keep forgetting to move to the sump) kicks on only occasionally.

AquaKnight407 thanks!!!
Devils what is that in your tank:eek2:
its a gargoyle statue . Not exactly natural but none the less cool and so far after a year it hasnt leach anything that has caused harm to the fish.
