These are giant palys... they been closed for few weeks...

put them in a container with saltwtaer and see if you can blow them off with a turkey baster,,might just be sand or detrius,,hopefully..
If not then it is probably pox..

Not sure, Palythoa species incorporate some of the substrate into the body as they grow so it might be that, but a Revive dip wouldn't hurt.

Wow great catch! That could definitely be irritating it, had issues with those before when they get too close to corals.
