Plexiglass question

I'm trying to make a cover for my biocube 14. Does anyone know where in miramar/Pembroke Pines or close to the area that I could take a template to and get cut out of plexiglass? An also how thick would you recommend so I could avoid warping

1/4 or 1/8 but why cover with plexiglass? its going to heat up....also avoid plexiglass and just use acrylic ....if its that small just stop by I have both

Alright so I'm guessing acrylic would be better then. Is there anywhere local that will cut acrylic and be able to make vent slots also?

I can cut it for you if you already have it or I have some that will fit for something that small......just stop no need to buy anything I have what you're looking for ...no charge, it's free

Also anyone that is wanting to DIY an acrylic project. Be very careful purchasing the cheap plexiglass crap like at home depot. A lot of times you're purchasing the stuff that is impact proof. It's made for hurricane protection and it isn't made to break easy. When you go to cut it on a saw it is very dangerous. It will splinter and jump all over the saw....It's not worth is and it's crap....

Any advice on making an acrylic stand for a LED light box? I have seen legs cut out and screwed onto the light but was thinking a solid piece a couple inches wider than the light curved at each end to sit on the sides , with the top cut out would look much cleaner .
