PLM-USB Expansion installation problems.

I inserted the card with the power off.
I placed the CD inmy laptop, on the CD it lists Windows Vista as well as the other operating systems.
However, when the CD boots up and I click on the .exe file, the PC states it is not Vista compatible.

When allowing Windows to search online for the software I receive the following message:

Problem caused by PL-2303 USB-to-Serial Port Adapter

This problem was caused by a compatibility issue between this version of Windows and PL-2303 USB-to-Serial Port Adapter.

This product is usually distributed by the company that manufactured your device or computer.

Note
If you bought PL-2303 USB-to-Serial Port Adapter from a retailer and installed it yourself, you will need to contact its manufacturer.

I tried this driver from another post http://www.ghl-kl.de/Produkte/Aquaristik/Download/PL2303DI.exe
And get the same problem: For Win 98, Win ME and Win XP only.

What can I do?

I have decided to try it on my older laptop.
I got it to connect.
But while upgrading the firmware I get an error while transmitting...what do I need to do?

I did...I got it to work on my own laptop.

I am thinking that GHL doesn't have drivers for a 64 bit OS, such as the new laptop.
