Hard to get a good pic. This clown has 3 white potrusions on him one by the tail is very white and the other 2 on his body are more faded. Otherwise seems healthy eating well, energetic, no excess slime or discoloration. I had a maroon clown with the same symptom 6 months ago with one on his cheek. I spent days trying to catch him to throq in qt until he died i presume from all the stress of being constantly chases around tank. Im tempted to not do the same with this one and let it run its course. I do believe it could have been stress induced as i recently added another fish and had an alkalinity overdose. Though that other fish could have been carying something i suppose, but he is fine. Ive researched ich brook lympho flukes i cant get a positive match they all seem so similar. First noticed the one on tail a few days ago then the ones on his body i noticed yesterday.

These symptoms have healed..came back..healed...came back now this time it looks its worst. They are potruding and they seem to fade in and fade out. He seems otherwise very healthy eating well very active. I know there is a small pistol shrimp living in a hole next to his anemone. I also cauggt a quick glimpse of what looked like a smaller mantis shrimp the other day.. could these be battle wounds? I have a qt but i cant catch the fish and ive heard if its a parasite its already in the tank anyway and id have to go fishless for 6 weeks to cure...cant do that will never catch the others. Any ideas?

Looks like Hyper-Melanization from acclimating from the anemone. How long has the anemone been hosting the clown?

About 3 months.. but i noticed the other day an aptasia in the cave right next to my clowns rbta.. ive never heard of hyper melanization but just did a quick search and seems like that could be a possible culprit?

I have had a similar spot on my FW Frontosa. They come and go and from my research it seems like they are a collection of cells that group up to form a white "˜zit' like protrusion. Completely benign but can be alarming once discovered. I am not saying that is your problem but, may be a place to start. My Fish eats just fine and is perfectly healthy. Maybe this is a place to start. Good luck.

Killed the aptasia 10 days ago if anything the symptoms have only been getting worse..one wound heals as another one develops. Right now he has about 7 spots some almost fully healed some just coming in. I do not understand this
