Hi guys,

Would appreciate if some experts here can help id this 2 acros:

1) white base, purple coralites and green polyps


2) emerald green base with pinkish red coralites and red polyps (the one in the top mid of the photo)

They are hard to see but I would guess maybe Acropora cerealis for the first.

I am not sure what one in the pic. It looks like there could be 3 or 4 Acropora in there?

Is there a way you can take a pic with more white lighting. The extra blue is making it hard to see.

Yeah camera phone aren't very versatile, especially for taking pics of reef tanks. Full spectrum light from white lighting or even a flash from the camera help to get a clear picture.

To ID the Acros we don't need to see the color. I am comparing the way it grows, the type and shape of the corallites, branches, and tips to others on those links i posted.
