Plugging a 7/8" hole?

My sump a Tidepool was drilled for a 1/2" bulkhead most likely for a return or to a fuge, well that hole is useless to me and need to know the best way to seal it off so that I can get everything running and get rid of all the hob equipment

Snatch up some acrylic. Plexi will also work. Get some aquarium silicone and glue a piece on each side. Should work just fine.

You need to buy a bulk head for the hole and then just buy a threaded plug for the hole. Just make sure to use teflon tape on the plug.

That was my first thought also, but 1/2" bulkheads probably are not to common.....I also thought about using 1/2" pvc electrical fittings and the gasket to a 1/2" liquatite connector to seal it

3/4 PVC pipe is 7/8 OD. I bet you could go to Lowes or HD and find fittings that screw together to plug the hole. You can also get some rubber Gasket form the plumping dept that you could cut to fit for a better seal. HTH

you could use a expansion plug made of rubber and nylon which you could prolly find at a pool supply house. Size is for a 3/4 - 1"

Thank You kinda like a freeze plug on an engine, except no metal involved was wondering if such an item existed

I have a couple 1/2" bulkheads. My wife works in Elyria and I will give her one to bring with her tomorrow. Send me a PM and let me know how to reach you so I can let you know where to meet her. You can have it since I bought it for a project a few years ago and never used it so I won't miss it. Maybe you will have a frag for me someday :D

I will dig it out and measure it to be sure 7/8" is the right size.
