Plumb Stupid?

I'm putting together a new 120g reef and need some feedback on my plumbing plan. This is a significant upgrade for me from my nano which had no plumbing.

The tank isn't drilled, so the idea is to use two overflows flowing into the sump. The return will use an external pump feeding a return manifold that will circle the perimeter of the tank. Here's the diagram:

Some concerns:

1. Is a 1200gph pump overkill for the return? Can't I dial it down using a ball valve if I have to (on the return side rather than the in-take side of course).
2. Will the planned auxillaries interupt the flow too much.

Love to get some feedback from you reef jedis at RC

I can't read most of your tiny letters in the diagram (nice diagram though). As far as the pump goes you need to figure out how fast your main tank will drain and match your pump accordingly. You can 'dial' your pump back but make sure the pump you buy can handle back pressure. If your pump won't handle back pressure you can add a Tee on the output with a ball valve and divert some water back into your sump.
