plumbing 2nd tank into sump

a couple questions.

i'm putting a 10 gallon tank nex to my current 26. instead of having a powerhead in teh same sump plumbing up and having an overflow back into the sump....

can i plumb it by having a host (no overflow) suction water out of the 26 gal (gravity suction) into the 10 gallon, and an overflow from the 10 gallon into the sump, WHILE having the overflow for the 26 into the sump still connected. so it'll have 2 drains and 1 return....

i think i might need to get a better return? or should i just do 2 returns, 2 overflows??

Just have both over flows go back into the sump...then split the return to flow back into both tanks. Just make sure you put ball valves on everything so that you can make minor adjustments. Also make sure you turn off the power and start it up again to make sure nothing overflows.
