Plumbing Eheim Pumps

I want to plumb my Eheim 1262 with hard PVC. Can I just screw male PVC ends into it? The nozzles it comes with have o-rings on them, does it make a difference?

get the sch 80 adapter 3/4 inch and use a lot of teflon. A LOT haha. I have the 3/4 hosebarb on my 1262 and no leaks to date.

I think for best performance you'll want to get a converter that converts from the Eheim's metric threads to english FPT/MPT.

Myself, I go ghetto style and use a whole roll of teflon tape with MPT. But I realize this is bad, and who knows if it causes a reduction in flow.

If you find a metric to FPT adapter, please let me know, I'll buy a ton of them.

Thanks
Josh

Custom Aquatic has metric fittings by Spears

Where are they, can I order online? How do I get them into my hands?

Josh

You can order-on. Plumbing section. Left-side of there website page.
You can also check out Spears website for more info.

I just screwed in 3/4" pvc in the exit with lots of teflon and used the stock 1"-ish nozzle to hose barb to 1" PVC using 1"ID braided vinyl tubing. No leaks, everything is looking good.
