Plumbing ideas for new tank?

Hey guys,
I'm not sure which forum is the right one, but..
I would like to build my own tank with the plumbing.

I have previous experience, but i'm not asking for help how to assemble it but more like if you have suggestion what is the best way to do it.

Would like to make from the return pump "main branch" (am i saying it right?)
Would like to have few exits, few valves, one to the tank, one to the chiller, and extra for future products i might use.

1. How do i hold that "main branch" with let it sit with so much pressure on the pump it self?

2. How should i raise the water to the tank? should i drill the back glass or should i just take pipes and upload those to the top of the tank?

3. Should i use pipe "holders" that attached to the stand?

Well, i'm looking for some tips, images for reference and so on..

Thanks alot!

The "return line" is the main branch and the exits/valves is known as a "Manifold" search for those and you'll get lots of results.

To do the manifold you need to get brackets holding the pipe to the stand, so the weight is not on the pump, not a major problem with smaller pipes but it causes noise with the bottom of the sump tank if there is significant pressure on it.

For the return line outlet I just like to run it over the back and dump it into the display tank.

Do a search for manifold and you'll get plenty of images.

I have found like you said, but still i dont see any that actually hold by brackets..

For example:

And many others.

About the plumbing, do you glue it? or assemble with special insulating tape?

Waiting for your kind reply.

you could use plastic straps to secure hanging plumbing.

PVC is held together with glue. You use a primer (generally blue or purple - as you can see in that photo) to ensure that the surface is clean. Then you use the cement and push the pipe together and hold. After about 20 seconds it should hold. After a few hours, it's basically fused permanently.

go to youtube - you can watch some videos on basic plumbing techniques.

Measure twice...

Cut once....

Buy extra pipe, extra elbows.... and practice on something that doesn't matter first.....
