Plumbing new tank

I have a 100g tank I just drilled 2 1.5 inch bulkheads for herbie style standpipe. my return will come from the pump to a "T" that will then plumb to both sides of the tank. what size pipe do I need for that return return?

What return pump?
In general use the max size or 1 up from what the pump is rated to..
SO if the pump has a 3/4" output then I personally would use 1" at least up to the tee then you can do 2 x 3/4" over the top returns..

You will want to match your pumps output pipe size or bigger as much as possible, and then usually it converts to 3/4"/loc-line when getting to the tank.

Thanks guys, I ordered a Jebao DCS 9000 for the return. i'm not sure the max size but i think 1"
