Plumbing Trash Can

What is the easiest way to plumb a trash can for RODI water storage? I am going to keep my RODI water in a 50g trash can on wheels and put a powerhead in it to pump water to my tank for water changes. How would I go about making a water tight seal after I drill a hole in the trash can. It has a square flat area that I will be drilling on so its not round or curved.

Go to boaters world they sell some stuff called 3600 very good sealant water proof, comes in clear, white...

How about a bulkhead?

Yeah, that would probably work. I was thinking about ordering a Uniseal but I probably dont need one since its a nice flat surface.

You've never had any problems with the Uniseals? They seem like great products but I think I would trust a bulkhead that screws on a little more than a rubber gasket.

I ran mine thru the lid. When not changing water, the pump pumps it up to the ball valve and returns it to my rubbermaid. Sorry for the lightness of the pic.

That really helps. I think I may go that route instead of drilling a $60 garbage can. Did you drill a hole in the top for the hose to come out of or just open the top when you want to pump water to the tank? And how much head do you have to get to the tank with that Mag-5?

Drilled holes in the lid. My Brut sits next to the tank so the head pressure is minimum. Up from the bottom of the Brut and over 3 feet or so.
