poccilopora sps?

is poccilopora and sps and is it prone to aefw ? also is this coral A danger to sps? acro's as I have found it spreading to my sps frag mounts and killing one frag and taking over ...

It is known to spawn in captivity and sprout all over. It is a frequent hitchhiker IME. Not sure if AEFW eats it but I wish they eat mine instead of my acros. Fast grower also. Mine is in a separate rock away from everything. Their polyps can extend longer than most SPS. It is possible that they sting other coral because of this.

no. aefw only eat acropora genus.

in my experience millepora will always win again poccilopora.

Most of my acros will kill the little pocci colonys in my tank when they meet up.

well that good to hear about killing pocillapora the darn thing has frags sprouting all over the tank from previous fragging. Also i have a huge colony next to all my highend acro frags maybe they will keep the pocillapora in check.

As mentioned befor they are not proned to AEFW just Acropora Sp.
poccilopora is not in this genus its infact in the Family Pocilloporidae

Just because it's a sps that dosn't make it a acropora man. Red bugs only infest Acropora.

but do the flat worms eat the pocci like the acro..?i know acro eating flat worm means aefw but can it also mean pefw lol?
I ask only because i have taken out all the acro's and now the pocci is fading fast going to baste it and see what comes off if so then in the dipp it goes..
