pod kill-off

What is the stuff called that will kill all pods in a tank? Is it the flat worm exit? I need to add another rock to my aip breeding tank which already has pods so I'd like to zap the rocks and pods so I can release egg rings into the tank without any preditors (yea, pods are preditors).

Alternative suggestions welcomed.... Should I just fill the tank with ro/di for a certain time to kill the pods but hopefully keep the aips? or are the aips more fragile than the pods? I gotta get the rocks zapped cause that's where the majority of the pods are hiding.

Any ideas? I dont have enough babies in the breeder tank to worry about loosing but I have hundreds in baggies that would likely do better in the tank than in the baggies.

I'm done selling them. If I have more than I can use, I'll post about them. I just want to get about 24-36 to add to my display and I'm done with this nursury thing.

I'm not sure, but I think that Interceptor, the de-worming treatment used for Acro. red bugs, will kill crustaceans. Maybe someone who has used this can chime in...

(When I saw the title to this post, I thought maybe all your pods had died! This happened to me once a few years ago when a Rio pump running a UV unit EXPLODED in my sump (loud bang) and leaked everywhere--all the motile invertebrates crawled out of the rockwork and died, very sad)

Interceptor will kill them all. It shouldn't hurt your aips either. It will just about kill any crustacean (unles they are buried in the rock).

Use Lugols's at a high strength; its a lot easier to get a hold of and should eradicate the pods for ya. You'll need to "force" the Lugol's water into the rock w/ powerheads or something to gut the "buried" ones as Gary points out.
