pods eating yuma?

i had a small pink yuma but recently as tank was fishless pods got out of control and i noticed some on the ric, looked like they were eating it, it was then retracting till it was gone.

Does anyone know if amphipods can/will eat rics?

I've had them eat zoanthids that were acclimating as well as ones that were stressed. I'd think its possible if the coral was stressed and/or there was a lack of food source for them.
