Point and Shoot around 350

Looking for a good P&S for around 350 that's capable of some good macro pictures and the possibility of shooting raw.

Appreciate any suggestions..

It's a little more, but if you can find one used in the G series you can get it for about 350.

I don't think it can shoot in raw but I like the panasonic tz7

So does the S series - I have the S90 and like it a lot for a P&S. Great for mtn biking or trips I don't want to lug the DSLR.

I just picked up the S95 as a pocket sized p&s for the same reason. It shoots RAW.

s95 seems to be a very nice pocket camera. Please show us some coral shots preferably macro if it can do that. I might consider buying one.:wave:

Just keep in mind that most of the "juice" behind the good images you see here comes from the photographer, not the hardware. Just because someone else is able to make good images from the camera doesn't mean that your images will be just as good.

You want something that you're comfortable using and for aquarium photography, you want a camera that will shoot in RAW format. The rest is practice and technique.

Sound advice. Thanks. I have a nikon dslr that can shoot raw except it is quit heavy to carry around.
Anyway, for the past year, I did have improved somewhat in terms of taking close-up coral pictures, but still way far from most of the photo expert here. I need to improve the "juice" inside me. Is there any literatures or books that would specifically address the macro coral picture taking? Or I just have to take a lot of photos to get the essence out of it.
