Polarity

Hi, I have had my 2 mp 40's for about a year. I'm out of town for work. My wife called me and said one of the wet sides was on the bottom of the tank. When she went to put it back on she said instead of being attracted to the dry said it was pushing it away like the polarity changed. Any ideas what's going on?

@den75 Unplug the mp40 at the control area. If it's plugged into a battery backup unplug all at the control area. This should turn it completely off then she can reattach the two sides without any issues. Plug in and it will work.

+1 to having it turned off prior to reconnecting the wetside. Sometimes it may also look aligned but actually isn't due to the refraction of the water. I have sometimes held the wetside in place while someone else plugs it back in. After a few seconds of vibration, you'll find the sweet spot. Hopefully you can talk her through it.

Thanks guys. Just cutting the power did it. I was able to power them down through Apex Fusion remotely so she could reconnect it :-)
