Do you Quarantine all of your newly purchased Zoanthids and Palythoas? Why, why not? For how long? Can you describe or share your quarantine tank with us? Have you found it to be most beneficial?

Never used to ...

Just did a spot inspection and in four years never had a problem with tons of frags.

Then I got monti nudis and zoa nudis at the same time and it was so overwhelming I just gave up. I didn't have the time to police every frag/colony/rock crevice.

I thought having my prop tank seperate from my display was enough but they were plumbed together to a main sump. I was wrong.

From now on If I ever get set up again I'm gonna qt everything and aquire frags a lot slower/farther apart with time to check each piece.

Seperate QT tank on it's own system for sure.

I never used to but recently with my obtaining some infected frags and seeing certain things come off of these frags I have decided to QT everything.

I fresh dip, QT, and then I inspect and inspect and then inspect again.

i don't keep my QT tank set up. i take a small 2.5 gallon plastic critter cage i found with pH, temp balanced, newly made water mixed with some tank water with circulation and an airstone and let them sit for a while. no set time really, just keep looking till i see anything that may need attention and go from there.

I was much too impatient to quarantine and now i am paying for it. I brought in a frag with just a little bit of HA and now i am fighting it for several months doh.... start a QT is the best advice i can give
