I'm creating a poll to choose what kind of clown I should have in my 29 Gallon system, but also to see which kind of most loved.
I do not have any livestock in my tank and these clowns will probably be the main fish in my DT, I'll possibly add in a watchman or firefish.

All depends on your preference and or your budget, if you have one. I personally like the snowflakes and the BW ones.
I vote for a snowflake.

I would suggest a Skunk Clownfish - specifically, Amphiprion akallopisos. They have a very nice body shape and I like their thin white stripe that runs on top of their body, all the way towards the tail.

How's their personality?

Relatively placid, which is another reason to get them, due to your tank size. Other clowns would probably try to dominate the tank, or come close to. Skunk clowns in general (regardless of species) grows to a smaller size than other clowns, and tend to be much less aggressive.

The most common skunk would probably be the pink skunk, Amphiprion perideraion, which you should be able to get easily. I just prefer A. akallopisos atm, because I like their color and their singular stripe.

(Note that I haven't kept any. I just read up on them heaps and heaps and heaps and heaps).

My pink skunks love to "carpet surf" on my gigs and haddoni. They are gentle and love on their nems. Beautiful fish and great personality.

There is no right or wrong answer, and as you can see from your poll results, the opinions are pretty well mixed. It really depends on what you want in your tank, and what you find appealing. A popularity poll is an intersting idea, but don't let it tell you what to put in your tank. I'm a huge fan of the melanistic clarkii's, but not many others are. So, what I put in my tank will greatly differ than others. Look at the fish online, see what appeals to what you think looks cool, and what you want your tank to be, see if you like the price, and get it. Don't let popularity decide what you think looks cool.

i have a pair of true percula clowns.

i love the "normal" clown coloration and patterns. nothing fancy here. :)

If you have kids, just get a regular "nemo".
They tend to appreciate them more than the fancy ones.

Kids these days.....no taste for fine fish....
