I'm having with an issue right now with my hammer colony. I keep it at the bottom of my tank under 500watts of 20k's MH. About 1 week ago I noticed that one of the polyps was peeling away from the skeleton. It looks healthy enough, its just bailing out.? What's going on? I've had it for 18 months now with no issues and I have not experienced "brown jelly" with the hammer. Some of my sps corals frags have died from STN can this be related at all? I'm goin to test my alk/cal/mag when i get out of work today but last week all my levels fine

alk 9.2 cal 420 mag 1400

From my experiences, euphyllia will typically show this type of behavior with drastic swings in alkalinity or SG. You should try and test multiple times per week to ensure parameter stability and decrease the impact of fluctuations.

Thanks brannock... I was thinking it was my alk because a few months back I was having problems keeping it stable and a few of my sps frags started to STN. I added dosing pumps for my esv 2 part (35 mls) so i can try to keep it stable so mayb i have to up the dose
