polyp extension??

In your opinion.....what are the things that would effect polyp extension?? I have one hydophora with little to no polyp extension. When I first got it and in all the pictures I have seen they are way hairy. It is alot more of a bright florecesnt green now though....

what are your thoughts...could it be too much light or flow or something other then that.

lighting change....was/is there something I can do in this respect....

Also alkalinity....does high or low alkalinity cause poor polyp extenstion?? My tank is ~9dkH

Every factor can be cause. Polyp extension shows healthy condition of corals. Your hydophora looks not so good. Find the cause and make better condition for it.
