Polyp Lab sample?

I got mine yesterday also and my gorginia which has not been open recently opened after feeding it.

i tried it out this morning. True to the claim.

It sent my cleaner shrimp crazy. he came right out from under a rock and it was like i dosed crack!

My pair of saddle clowns came in and picked up some of the larger specs.

Definately get some of this stuff!

It seams to go bad (get smelly) pretty quick so I would probably mix smaller batches then recommended. My gorgonia definatly like it ans do all the fish including my tangs.

1) I like it very much. Going to contact the US distributor for prices.
2) There was a post on RC a few months ago. A link directed you to their website, where you could request a sample.

The page for a sample doesn't exist anymore :( I tried to get another sample :)

Here is a pic

i got the same reaction from most of my SPS
under 14 K during the day

A night shot.. you can see the polyps on the tips at full extension

My corals responded to the product in the manner similar to frozen cyclopeeze. I think the response is greater when compared to cyclopeeze, but I am not sure if my corals really like it or if it is better for them. :(

When I feed corals I always turned off all the flows, and target feed the food. When I feed cyclopeeze, corals generally slime up and I can see them "retract" the slime into its polyps. However, with the Polyp lab product, some of the corals actually "spit" the product out sometime later. After about 20 mins or so I can see all the slime floating on the surface of the water, and I think some of the slime actually irritated other corals that weren't responding as much.

It is important to mention that my sick goniopora has extended, which it has not been doing for about 2 weeks. So my impression with the product is, well, there's no perfect food. I have been using different products for SPS corals, and I think it is safe to say that not all the corals will react positively to all foods.

In anyway, I might still get a bottle and feed my sick goniopora nevertheless, but I won't feed my whole tank with it. JMO, HIH. :)

my GSP also ellicited a response. I didn't really watch the corals for an extended period of time, but next time I feed, I'll look out for slime and possible food release.

thanks for the heads up.

Perhaps a stupid question....but how can you tell the difference between a feeding response and an irritation response?

My zoos all closed as well when I "basted" them. I would love to hear a clarification on this one.

Thanks,
Jeff
