Polyp Retraction after adding Recharged Purigen

I recently got My first SPS frag for my 8 gallon cube. It has done great for almost a week, until I added a recharged bag of purigen to the tank today. I came back to the tank about an hour later and everything was closed. I did a quick WC and since then my LPS and Zoas opened back up, but I'm still not seeing great PE from the Bird's nest. Anyone have any idea why the frag isn't showing full extension now? I soaked the purigen for almost a week after to make sure all the bleach was out. I tested and my levels haven't changed, so I don't know why I'm seeing this. I haven't tested Alk, Calc, and Mag in a couple days, though. Could that be a contributing factor?

I need some help here. Is there anything I can do?

Thanks.

They don't like rapid change, I would take the the purigen out and give it a few days. I would also check your other parameters.

They look better today with slightly more PE. I'm going to do another water change today and tomorrow to reset the system.

Don't recharge purigen. Lots of negative accounts. Not worth it, especially not for such a all tank.
