polyp troubles holes??

so I started a green star polyp frag in my tank about 2 months after I started the tank. that was about 4 months ago tanks only 6 months old. they have more than tripled in size and density since I bought them originally in my 29 gallon with dual t5 lighting now in my 55gallon with 2 d2120 evergrow led lights they looked good but I have found a couple areas in the frag that the polyps have seemed to disappeared down to the live rock theres just a hole I have some asterina stars in the tank that hitch hiked on some rocks from another tank I have been digging them out of the tank as I find them. I don't see or know what is causing these holes any ideas??will post pictures immediately.

Looks fine. The starfish aren't bad in my opinion.

Well there's some blank spaces this frag used to be 100% covered there's were no areas not colony covered by polyps if you look the there's a few spots now bare to the rock I'm just not sure why I accidently made 2 threads is there a way to merge them or delete this I'm new to this site
