Polyps sticking out of my Durasa shell

This is the best shot I could get of it. Is this normal?

i'm having a really tough time picking out anything but the vague shape/color of a clam mantel.

could you circle or highlight what you're talking about? my eyes just aren't interpreting that picture well.

The clam is laying on its side to the left and the shell is normally white, but it brown from what looks like polyps
