Polyps?

I bought this coral at a swap today. During inspection I noticed what I thought were eggs. After looking closer it looks like the polyps. They look odd to me. Is it just this type of coral that has polyps that look like these or is something wrong? I have dipped it in Bayers and I am keeping it in a container by itself. I don't want to put it in my tank until I know what it is.

Looks fine to me. But that doesn't mean there aren't a couple eggs on the base for some odd reason. If your collecting acropora and putting it straight in your tank you should have to be willing to accept the fact that you will probably will get a pest at some point. The polyps on that acro are fluffier thank some, maybe that's why your mistaking them for egg batches. Helps to look at a picture of aefw damage and eggs just before you go inspecting coral. Good luck, how much was the acro?

Frag looks good. I would ditch the plug. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the info. I know what AEFW and the eggs look like. The polyps just looked different for some reason. Maybe because the ones down in the crevices look bigger made me think that something might be wrong. I always take the plugs off before dipping. I will put the coral in a quarantine tank. This way I will be able to keep a close eye on it.

I also forgot to mention that there are some flatworms on the coral. I had another picture that showed them better but it was blurry. After the dip and blasting I didn't see any more or any eggs.
