Hello everyone,

I have had this torch coral for about 8 months no, one of my first. Im not sure what type it is exactly.

It always had very good extension but for the past month or so, it has been about 50% extended (compared to usual) and this week, this brown stuff came out twice! Now something is stressing it but i cant figure out what!

Params:

8.4 ph
8.7 alk
420 cal
1400 mag
Temp 77
0 nitrate ( had 10 before and it was still struggling at that time)
No measurable phosphate

Should i give it a coral dip ? Its a really nice two colour orange torch and i really don't want to lose it :( i haven't

crossed path with another one like it locally. Any suggestions on what to do?

I have several torch corals and have never seen that before. Not sure on what it is though. Good luck and hope all is well!

Has anything changed recently, lighting in particular?

After a few weeks of not extending completely i moved the coral, so in that sense maybe the light is different from that new angle, but i only moved it 5-7 inches. As for the actual source of light. That is the same.

w/e ur doing to it i would stop and put it back look at the pic's it even has two mouths the more you play with the more stress zoo it expels

I put it back where it originally flourished about a week ago, it stopped spitting out but still hasn't opened to its regular self. Could it be cause its splitting?
