Anyone else have their tank set up on a central heat and air vent? it helps keep tank cool in summer and warm during the winter. My wife was having hot flashes the day before yesterday and turned on the fan before bed. I woke up yesterday and my tank was at 75d. I will say the chiller works GREAT! Hope it doesnt work that great from now on.

I have never seen one but I cant say the idea hasnt crossed my mind. I just think too many things can go wrong with that scenerio.

I like to seeand know how you got it setup. Can you give us some info on it.
Thanks zef Lucas.

It has really worked great over the years of fresh and now saltwater. The difference now is its right under the sump. It works fine if she won't do that anymore!

Part of the sump tank is sitting about 3 inches above the floor register from the central heat/air. It circlulates air (warm or cold) under the stand and bottom of the tank. It got cold sunday night and we had the central fan on all night. We had a big talk about this over coffee yesterday morning.

Very interesting thats really cool if its been working great for that long. Im always a big fan of simple and cheap.
