Poor Man's Refugium Lighting

I just watched this BRS video which included DIY solutions like a compact flourescent and LED. Not surprisingly, the Kessil won, but it inspired me to run to Lowes and pick up a 150W PAR30 lamp and a cheapo reflector to tide me over. Wondering if y'all would care to opine on this as a solution for under $25 as opposed to the $250 of a Kessil.

I see no issue. I run a cheapo clip on light with a basic LED bulb (one of those cheap like $3 bulbs)

Wondering if an LED 'Grow Bulb' might be the way to go. This one wasn't so clear on spectrum distribution, only '5500K' being in the 'cooler' end. I took that to mean more blue, less other wavelengths. I figure for $15, I'd take the hit. ;-)

Is there another lamp that would offer better results, or should I just go with it and not split hairs.
