Poor PE, dwarf angel to blame?

Same with me, my flame is constatly picking at rocks, sometimes the acros as well. I have little to no PE except on one piece.

I just purchased some really nice frags and by the 2nd day had great PE then all the sudden nothing, as I sat and watched my Ebeli Dwarf Angel came over and nipped here nipped there and now no PE well I guess it's time for dwarf to go to LFS 600 dollars of Copps frags win in this contest!

I got rid of my flame, shame because he was one of the most beautiful fish. After my crash I think he started picking at dead skeleton. After that he started picking at everything. Never did a noticeable damage. My tank is full of frags so that may have made it more noticeable. I may try another when the tank is more grown out. Took a month for PE to start coming back so I'm wondering how much that was the angel and how much was just a few months post crash. I guess I'll never know!

Update,

Soon after starting this thread, I traded in my flame Angel and picked up an acro frag as well. The frag never lost PE unlike most from before so I was hopeful that PE would return on all other SPS. 2 months now and I'm happy to say, that most SPS are showing some PE with a few totally extended.

Angels and SPS with PE doesn't go together. I don't care what other people say. The truth of the matter, all angels will eventually nip at the polyps. You don't watch your tank 24/7 so for the couple hours you watch it and you don't see any activity doesn't mean the angel is not nipping at it.
I had my fair share with angels. Before them, my SPS had great PE. Added a majestic and started to notice the PE is less and less. Seeing it pecking at corals gave me the confirmation that it's the cause. I also have a pair of masked swallow tail that I think are also pecking at stuff. I would have to think really hard if I want to transfer the angels to the tank upgrade and live with the bald SPS or rid of the angels and just do tangs. I'm leaning toward the second option.
