Hi, I have this Big-eye Soldierfish (Squirrelfish) four months ago, he/she was on a Quarantine Tank for 23 days, he/she was doing great until yesterday night that I check my tank after coming from work I didn't saw it until I feed then he/she came out of the rocks and I saw his/her eye, I believe is Pop Eye, but before I start the Treatment I want to make sure I'm Doing the right thing.
I Want to take the fish out of the tank to Treatment (of course) but my only 10 gallons QT is full with and other new fish and I want to put it togheter, But I do have one 2 Gallons tank w/ filter I use to Aclimate new fishes before putting on QT. do this 2 gallons tank will work for the Treatment?
What medicine can I use on this type of disease, one time I was reading that Maracyn for FW works really good but my LFS don't have. what also can I use?
here are some pictures of my fish can some one help me please?
Thank You!

Water change is a do nothing approach. Maracyn is for gram positive bac, I would go with Maracyn 2 at double dosage.

To answer your questions, in my opinion. . .

That size of fish should at least have a 10 gallon tank of its own for treatment.

It looks more of an injury to me, but still worth treating with an antibiotic so it doesn't get worse. As baobao wrote, Maracyn isn't what you want, unless you know for sure it is a gram positive bacterial infection. Most infections are of bacteria of the gram negative type. So, you want to use Maracyn Two for Saltwater fishes.

You need to try and figure out how the fish was injured or became infected so that you can prevent it in the future. You may want to improve its diet not only in general, but especially during the healing process. This is good info on that:

thank you! I was looking very close to the fish and it looks like a bubble (air bubble) on top of his eye, it was huge yesterday and today is small, I had a new addition which is an arrow crab do you think that could be the problem may be the arrow crab pick on his eye? should I live the fish and the Display Tank?
Thank You!

I don't know if the crab would bother the fish.

But if the eye is appearing to improve/reduce swelling then let the fish stay in the display. But would you please improve its feed with vitamins, fats, and beta glucan? :)
