Pop-eye, help!

My clown fish just got pop-eye within the hour! Anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? It looks painfull as all heck!

What type of clown? It is fairly common with saddlebacks (( A. polymnus )). For me, with my saddlebacks over the years, it has gone away on its own. Though I did increase water changes.

Is it a new fish? What do you mean "within the hour" ?

It's a black and white one. She has been in the tank for something like 8 months-ish. I meant the pop-eye just happened within the last hour. Anything I can do to prevent it? How did she get it? I think I would wanna die if I got that!!
