Pop eye, injury or bacteria infection?

This morning I notice that my male clown fish has a pop eye on the right side. Is there a possibility that pop eye could be from an injury or Bactria?
I also added 3 new turbo snails last night too. Not sure if they are able to carry flukes but that is the latest addition the the tank. All current tank mates look fine so far this morning when I checked the tank.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

feed more, do more water changes, should heal itself.

if not, fish can live happily with one eye.

Lol, I can live with one eye too but don't want too.

I do weekly 10% water change and sometimes I also do a 5% water change in the middle of the week. I usually feed 4-5 times a day and a minimum of 3 times a day. I have been feeding them more often since I've been trying to get them to breed and they just did that a few days ago. The are using a flower pot as a host and since then, they have been rubbing(lack of a better word) harder at the flower pot. I thought it could/might be an injury from the base of the flower pot since it has those tiny tube worms that sticks out. Thinking he might have rubbed his eye on it or something.

Anyway, I would like him to still have both eyes so if any body can shed any light on the situation that would be very great. Please let me know if more info is need.

You can try epsom salt (1 Tablespoon per 5 gals) to relieve the swelling.
which is pretty gentle. Keep in mind that if both eyes are traumatized, the fish may not be able to see at all. The attempt to orally feed a fish with this type of severe condition is most likely impossible. Therefore, the fish should be carefully moved to a QT (quarantine tank) and treated with a broad spectrum topical antibiotic, such as skin absorbed kanamycin, sulfate based antibiotics like Aquatronics' Kanacyn or Spectrogram, as well as Neomycin, and Maracyn or Maracyn-Two (which may no longer be available).

Pop eye, injury or bacteria infection?

If if happens to only one eye, then it's most likely due to injury. If it's two eyes, then it's most likely due to infection. If it's injury, you need to figure out if there is a fish that's picking on him or it's just an one time accident. If it's just an one time accident, then you really don't need to do much other than keeping the water clean and it well fed. Otherwise, you must either remove the aggressor or move it to the QT and treat it with medication. I would use seachem paraguard.

I just had a Flame angel come down with Popeye in both eyes about a week and a half ago. I hoped it would clear itself since my water quality was perfect. After several days my Emperor angel got it in one eye. I gave both fish a fresh water dip (at the suggestion of many of the folks here) and found that the issue was parasites. The parasites started falling off the fish within two minutes in the fresh water. I then moved the fish to a hospital tank and treated with Prazipro. Unfortunately, the flame didn't make it. The Emperor is doing great now after a week in the hospital tank. The reason for the story is I'm thinking if I hadn't waited 4 or 5 days to check the Flame angel, he might have survived. I would suggest a freshwater dip to confirm or eliminate flukes as the problem. The dip won't hurt the fish and might give you a head start on treatment as well as give you a better idea on what the problem is. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips. I will keep an eye on him for now since it looks like the swollen eye has come down a bit. I hope it will go away by itself.

Usually take one week to heal. Keep up water quality, and keep it well fed.
