Popping shrimp ID?

We have found two shrimp that pop, they are like see thru one has a green tent to it and one it like a off white with maybe a little red to the tips. Are they bad?

Those shrimps are pistol shrimps. They are neat hitchhikers and are generally reef friendly. Don't get popped by one, they may be small but they pack a punch. My thumb stung for 2 hours after one popped me. :hmm1:

i looked them up on youtube and found a video by the BBC they said/showed them snapping their claw , it said they release a air bubble then when they snap the bubble collapses and for a moment that collapased bubble reaches the temperature of the sun, it showed it using this on a skunk shrimp, the skunk fell over and then the pistol dragged it into its rock cave and made dinner of him. i put mine in the fuge for now there just babies and still clear in color but make quit the popping sound for something so small. i dont want them to grow up and kill my cleaner shrimp so not sure what i will do with them but dont want to kill them either. i dont know if i can post links here but you should see the video on you tube by the BBC it was neat , well except for the gun sound they used for the snapping was a little misleading to viewers who thought they really do make a gun sound lol.
