Porcelain Crab Food???

LFS said all they eat is some type of starfish. I would like to have one in my 20gal AIO.
Anybody keeping them alive and happy without cutting legs off of starfish. If so what are you feeding them.
All info on I get from internet is skimpy at best.
Are they reef safe? Any special needs?

Porcelain crabs are filter feeders.

It sounds like what you're describing is a harlequin shrimp.

Maybe you should post a picture of the beast you're interested in so we can answer your question.

If it really is a porcelain crab you're talking about, they will eat any fish food in addition to filter feeding. Mine loves it when I feed my LPS.

Thank you for the comeback. I have not yet stocked my tank. I have 3 to 4 weeks to do more homework on my live stock. I'm sure I want a small crab. The porcelain come in many different colors.
