Porcelain crab

I had a anemone crab in my tank for some time now. He has been fine and actually protects some of my corals until I got a anemone. So with in a week and a half he found the anemone and was hosting. All was fine until last night.

He wrapped his legs around the base of my anemona and facing the rock atarted to push his claws on the rock. Looked like he was trying to pull the anemone off the rock. I thought they were suppose to live in harmony together.

I have removed the porcelain crab but is it safe to have one right now if he is able to try and pull the anemone off? The anemone isnt big. It still only about 3 inches wide.

How big is the crab? I have a porcelain and there's no way it can pull an anemone out. Granted, my anemone are much bigger than yours but still I don't think it can do that.

Around an inch long ...and btw he sure looked capable of doing it or ripping into the anemones foot at least. He had my anemone shrunken up and was definately trying to pull him off the rock

I'm with Nick. I'm not sure what the crab was doing, but I doubt it was trying to pull the anemone off the rock. Maybe he was using the anemone as leverage to dig into the rock, with his claws, to get at some food???????? Some thing's just not right here.

Once again, it was very evident his intentions were to pull it off the rock. You may think Im crazy but I know what I saw
