Porcupine Puffer Fish Not Eating

So I have a Porcupine Puffer Fish that is not eating right now. I have had him for about a month now. He had this problem of when he eats if it's not frozen he will chew it up and spit it out as if he didn't like it, But when it was frozen he was fine. Oh, and he would only eat krill. I had a shark with him, but it died on sunday. Ever since then my pufferfish will not eat anything. he will bite into it then just leave it alone, Fish store said if I don't find the problem then my puffer only has about a week of two left. Can anyone help me? I have tried Clams, Krill, Squid, and Siversides, And PE Shrimp. I am afraid to get anymore food because I waisted about 100 or more dollars on food it won't even eat. GH about 180 ppm, KH is about 240ppm, PH 8.3 ppm, Nitrite 0ppm, and Nitrate is a little lower then 20ppm. I do a 25% water change every two weeks, sometimes a 10% once a week. I have some plants in there. And I have a Specific Gravity of 1.023, Sorry for spelling and grammer. It is clearly not what I am best at. =\

what is PE shrimp? I started my puffer on fresh shrimps from the grocery store. he would only eat from a pair of forceps at first. he would NOT eat anything that I simply dropped into the tank. It seems they like to bite and pull the food apart while you're holding it with the forceps.

afterwards i mashed pellet food in with the piece of shrimp and eventually he began to eat just plain pellet food.

my puffer likes his food frozen a tad also but will eat just about anything i give him now..try frozen scallops shrimp shelled and cut into smaller bits (not minced)also try formula one cubes frozen mine tears these up.. also try adding selcon directly to the tank for daily suppliments he will get the nutrients from absorption even if hes not eating still off him the frozen krill avoid anything freeze dried as they lack many nutrients the fish need

He is still doing it, it makes me really sad. Nothing I am doing is working, yet some how he is still alive so I guess that's good, right...?

maybe he is sick.. the shark had died in the same tank..so something was off .. I had a similar issue with a stars n striped puffer several yrs ago ..he just wouldn't eat... It was suggested to to me to qt him and treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic. due to the fact I was very unsure what was wrong with him the broad spectrum works the best..this is something you may want to try..contact your LFS and ask for a broad spectrum antibiotic for him.puffer safe..
good luck

My shark died from getting stung by an Annenome (Sorry if not spelled right, big annoying word) I got when I bought some plants, There were alot of them.

He is eating, I just have to feed him every other day. Now if only I can get him on some clams. Would a cuttlefish be ok with my puffer, The only thing he eats is shrip, Doesn't even bother my crabs, starfish, or snails. Not even my coral!!!!!!!!1
