has anyone seen a porcupine eat a smaller fish?is it capable of it?ive lost a few fish in 1 month with their bodies nowhere to be found and the only thing i can think of is hes eating them at night. thanks guys

They can absolutely eat smaller fish. I dont think tank fish taste any different then silversides or lance fish.

My puffer ate a 1.5 inch clown, and three chromis when he was only five inches. I couldn't believe it.
He got them while they were sleeping.

yo reefer i put three blue chromis in my tank and they dissapeared one by one along with other fish i guess hes feeding at night while i sleep cause i never find no dead fish.

LOL mine dont eat live fish. he is spoiled. I hand feed him freeze dried krill 3 times a day. he dont even look at the feeder fish i throw to my other fish.

You should only feed a puffer 2-3 times a week, and only feeding krill isn't good for them. It leads to lockjaw, then death.
I feed mine mussels, clams, silver sides, crab legs, krill, and scallops. With nori sneaked into the meat. I also use zoe, and selcon as vitamins, and fat supplements. Good luck and please research a good puffer diet.

not meaning to highjack this thread or anything but, thanks for the input. can you post any good links for me to check out? I have been going on advice of another puffer keeper local to me.
