position of tunze

im thinking of replacing my 4 powerheads (4ft tank X2X2, 120 gal) with a 6100 + 7091. the way the tank is set up is 2 rockpiles with an open bit in the middle and the front open also. I was hoping to have the 6100 in the middle on the 2 rockpiles facing the glass (which is only 2ft away) and hitting that then using that to throw the curent back onto the rocks, will that be ok... i know most people seem to have one each en, or just one at one end...

only getting 1X6100 + 1X7091 controller. the tank is 4 X 2 X 2, im planning having the tunze in the middle of the back glass (4ft bit) blowing forward (the front glass is obviusly 2 ft away) then using the hitting off the front glass to buffet back over the 2 rock/coral piles...

I think the sand below that glass is going to go bye bye!!

Also you might get water overflowing just above that glass. I dont think you appreciate the true force of these pumps!!

do you think i should therefore go for one end allowing it to have the full 4ft (length of tank) to push the water...

I would get 2 6000 and a 7095, that is the best solution for a 20, the 6100 is too much unless it is a bare bottom SPS tank.

Sorry to hijack the thread -

Roger would you sugest just one 6100 with let's say a multi-controller or the two 6000 with a multi-controller on a same size tank - mine (120g)will be bare bottom sps tank - suggestions for a bare bottom 58 would be helpful too.

For the 58 a single 6000 is all you need. 2 6000 and a multicontroller is the best choice for the 120, I only meant you could feasibly get away with a 6100.
