You are doing it right. Let them acclimate to the light and then move them to where you want them to be. Can't wait to see what they look like.

They kinda look like a dragons eye, they are dark purple with a neon green dot in the center! they stay open even with my lights off. they have been off all night! that normal?

Is there any other light leaching into the tank?

I kept it dark in my room all last night while at work. so, no, no other lights were in the tank.

and when I got home in the morning, I kicked them back on at 8 am, until 4:30pm. I might put them in a perm spot so they can begin to take over a small piece of live rock. they are still on the sand bed.

Also, here are some new pics from today. I don't know what kind of color morph they are.. they are dark purple with a neon green center to the head, like I said :). Oh and one of my clowns just saying "hi world"

Congrats! I agree on the frogspawn/hammer suggestions. Bubble corals are easy too and don't need a huge amount of light.

When the weather gets warmer here, I will start to order online. More choices! I will have to look into the bubble tip, some say they don't always "bubble" is that a bad thing?

Bubble Tip and Bubble Corals are 2 different things. Bubble Tip is a Anemone and a Bubble Coral is well, a Coral. They look like a ball of grapes.

Frogspawn and Hammers are also labeled aggressive. This is because of sweeper tentacle that come out at night. If you follow the care directions of at least 6" of space then you should have nothing to worry about. My biggest concern would be the encroachment of each other when they grow out. If they get too crowded they will fight to the death.

I would take the drive to Canandaigua and hit up The Salty Dog. Adam and Kyle are great and they will steer you in the right direction. Plus they just received a shipment of some pretty sweet corals today.

Just had a friend go out there and said they loved it........lol
small world

Ya I meant the bubble coral. I love watching them go from tentacled beasts with no light to bubbles when the lights come on.

so, I could just frag them if they get too big? and how big is too big for aggressive types for my 20 gallon long?

Check into pulsing xenia if you want movement. To me a large colony looks like fireworks. They will take over your tank if you aren't careful and prune them back down to size.
