Possible Ich best option

Read the stickies but still don't get what my best option is.

Tank is 2 months old. FOWLR has crabs, snails. Ammonia is 0. Salinity .025 tested by hydrometer but check against LFS's readings.

Last fish added was Foxface two days ago who is only one showing visible signs. I went to LFS to buy water yesterday when I walked in he was talking Ich and I noticed the tank I bought the Fox in had no rocks anymore. He seemed kind of weird like he knew he accidentally gave me ich. Didn't ask I should have.

I was planning on buying a QT for any future fish but decided to risk it one more time as the LFS had had this fish in a tank with the same fish for over 2 months and let my better judgment slip.

FoxFace has probably 8 small spots with white. He acts normal and eats. Not scraping against rocks.

I'm planning to go buy either a 10 or 20 gallon QT. I currently have the Fox and a clown. The clown doesn't show signs. I can probably catch both without too much tank tear down.

So at this point I'm leaning copper. Seems easier than TT. Basing decision on what is cheapest, what gets fish back in my DT the quickest. I don't have a refractometer to hypo is out for now.

How expensive is the medicine typically and testing material for copper? Also tempted to ask LFS if he is treating for Ich if I can just put the fish in his tank since he knows his fish gave it to me.

Both the foxface & clown need to be treated, and kept out of the DT for 72 days. So, while TT is the faster treatment option... it doesn't get your fish back in the DT any quicker. I would probably go with copper if I were you. You'll need to treat for one solid month, and then just observe afterwards until the 72 days are up. Try to get Cupramine, and either a Seachem or Salifert copper test kit. Go with the 20 gallon QT; the bigger, the better.
