possible mantis?

i may possibly have a mantis in my display tank. i have heard a clicking noise comming from my tank for about the past 3 months or so. my blue leg hermits have been slowly disappearing and today i saw some sort of shrimp out of the corner of my eye. he disappeared much too quickly to get a good look at it. i did see the burrow it went into and i see some long looking eyes poking out and quickly disappearing. anyway, i would like to try and trap it. what would be the best way to go about doing this?

The first method you should try is probably B, then maybe A after that. If those don't work and you know what rock the burrow is in try some of the methods to capture the mantis outside the tank.

so i am trying a diy trap using an inverted top half pop bottle. i baited it with some raw shrimp and placed it right outside its burrow. so here is the funny part. i have a serpant star and it keeps stealing the bait out of the trap. it will crawl into the opening of the trap, reach right in and make off into the rockwork with a tasty treat. oh well i guess all that hard work on his part deservs a nice treat. i am going to keep trying though. i will post some pics when i trap it. im not sure if i am going to keep it or not. ive already had a couple of offers on it and havnt even cought or id'd it yet. from what i say its only an inch or so long. so its still a juvinal. i found a link to a great site for an id so i will update this post as soon as i snag him. i have thought about removing the rock his burrow is in but i may use that as a last resort.
