I've been toying with the idea of removing the hood of my biocube 29 and replacing it with a 150W sunpod. I keep shrooms, zoas, and some LPS in the tank and I was wondering how MH lights would affect the tank. I know the "shimmer" is just incredible and it is more natural than any PC lights, but will it really affect the tank enough to be worth the trouble of getting the sunpod, or should I just not worry about it yet and wait til I upgrade the tank in God-knows-how-long to get MH lighting. Any input would be appreciated, thanks so much!

thanks for the reply, the main reason I was thinking about it is because the hood on the 29 biocube makes it kind of a pain for water changes and placing coral with ease, and I know that the MH lights would make my zoanthids color up beautifully, but aside from that I dont really have any other reason for wanting it.
